10 Reasons Why 2020 Was Actually Great for Me
There’s no argument, 2020 was an absolute shitstorm of a year, but I stuck to my goals…and got lucky.
Like many people, I entered 2020 with a set of strong ambitions and intentions. I was going to be prolific in creating content, I was going to level up in my day job, I was going to make the short film I had been writing, I was going perform on stage for the first time in a decade and take significant steps towards achieving my One Big Goal™ of winning an academy award. These and more were my intentions, and whilst its tempting to write-off 2020 as a disaster, that would be a huge mistake. After listening to this fireside chat from Tony Robbins I made a list of off the things I am grateful for in 2020. Looking at the list it seems that despite a global pandemic I actually did pretty well. Not everything landed, but a few did, and a few more came from unexpected places.
So here are 10 reasons why 2020 was actually great for me:
1. I did make my short film
In February 2020 I shot my political short film Acceptance. I wasn’t sure the script was ready and nearly postponed the shoot until Easter but decided to go for it.
